Are other breeders finding that they're getting fewer enquiries than usual?  (Via ChampDogs or from elsewhere?)

I'm usually inundated with totally inappropriate enquiries or 'how much are the puppies?' type enquiries (!) but I'm getting none of that.  My bitch is still pregnant so I'm not too worried, but just wondered if other breeders are finding they are getting fewer enquiries than usual?

If so, I wonder why.

I had one litter bac in the UK, with very few enquiries - I only bred for my next generation btw, not just when I had a book full of people waiting which is always ideal!  Could be the uncertainty re what happens next with leaving the EU - or simply holidays??   I had to list that litter with the KC which I'd never done before, or after as I found myself listed with KNOWN Puppy Farmers!!   Hum.

Certainly not in my case, my girls are not yet even in season yet having enquiries - even recommendations from my vet!

Possibly it is breed related?  In ours reputable breeders just cannot cope with demand hence people are breeding without health testing and charging above the norm - and people are so desperate they are buying them!

It is a v popular breed.  Having had a look on CDs, maybe the market is just flooded - there seem to be loads of other litters listed at the moment.  Perhaps because it's the summer, everyone's decided to have a litter.  Maybe when our pups come along in the autumn, we will get more interest.  I have 6 very good homes already.

No, I have had 3 enquires in the last month. I am not breeding any more & give them local breed clubs to contact.

People might enquire later in the summer when their holidays are over.....I’ve always found it very quiet at this time of year.

I have no litter due or planned and ive had lots of enquiries this month so have passed them onto other breeders.
The previous 6 months have been quiet, i put it down to summer holidays and people want a pup while the kids are off
