I have decided the Bioflow collar I bought for my boy really isn't doing much to help his situation so I will be offering it to anybody who is interested BUT I obviously need to wash it first.   Can I do this with the magnet in place, or does it need to be removed and if so, how??

It's red, and large size.   If anybody wants it I'm letting it go, for the cost of postage (minimal) .... PM me if interested.

If you have decided this while he is still wearing it, leave it off for a couple of weeks and see if there is a difference.
Zuma wears one that 'seems' to not make any improvement but it was off for about 10 days and I could tell that he got slightly stiffer. It is now back on.

It's been off for that length of time.  Which is why I decided it wasn't doing anything to help him.   He's now back on Metacam, unfortunately, but he is now visibly more comfortable.   I guess it has to do with how serious is the reason for needing to be helped!!   In my hound's case, looking at his x-rays, he really shouldn't be on 4 feet!!

In that case I'm all for Metacam giving him the help that he needs.  I'm with you all the way there.

Thanks Jean.  As said, he did have a gastric episode a while back which is when I had to take him off Metacam.  I know it has side effects (vet is monitoring) but it's what's best, at almost 10 now..... side effects vs his need for pain relief.  Unfortunately.

ps  He's now licking his legs sore!!  It NEVER STOPS with this boy. And he's on a/bs - Cephorum - after a fine needle aspirate on one of his most recent masses produced cloudy fluid which vet says suggests infection!!

The Bioflow collar I have is now all washed and bright again.   So if anybody wants it, it's available, for the cost of postage .....?
