Hi all
My four year old lab whose hips are not great on the X-ray but vet thinks no surgery is needed as it can cause more problems than before(odd thing to say for a vet, but he is by all accounts a the ‘lab  go to guy,”
Well we started her off on carophen injections three weeks ago, I noticed a dimple rite at base of tail top of spine area area, I have brushed the fur thinking it just cosmetic, but it doesn’t make any difference, the vet nurse who gave the last injection ,could feel something not right, but wants me to tell vet Tuesday on her last jab day,
Just wondered if anyone had come across before
Thanks

dimple in the skin or in her coat?

I first thought it was just in her coat, as I know can get the odd wavey line going down the back,I had a old girl who had that,
I really was a bit unsure and as was there for her injection I thought I would ask the vet, but alas was only a nurse there ,she seem to agree that she could feel something unexpected and to check with the vet tomorrow,
Now my 4year old come from very doubious stock ie a suspected puppy farmer who rented out a house sold puppys and then disappeared, and I knew from a few weeks after we got her that she wasn’t quite rite, her back line is not a nice straight line from her neck to tail but rather curved and rounded, her muscle tone on her thighs is very minimal too, again the lab”expert” didn’t seem worried, just advised to keep lean and swim, well I seem to have one of the few labs out there who doesn’t like swimming, I keep her a lean 24kg, and I must admit her exercise needs tobe ramped up abit,as I can only walk slow and for limited distance, but she has a hyper nutty cocker to keep her on her toes indoors and the garden, she went to daycare a few times but was lame for a few days after each time,
I prob just being a neurotic worrywort,
Just would like some answers,
Thanks for replying

Well I thought it was at the beginning, but both vet nurse and vet herself confirmed they could feel something that is not just the coat, but something they could feel
, but as she wasn’t showing signs of pain wen it is touched, told me to monitor it
Thinking about it now I think I would like to know more about it, I just wondered if any lab people out there have herd of anything like it

Thank you
