Me too depending on how well the puppy is doing. Needing to empty apart, it's always better for a young puppy to go to bed with something in his tummy! I'd suggest that 4 meals to 6 months, is excessive. But when you drop one meal, you should remember to up the amount being given in the remaining meals I think, provided you bought from a reputable experienced breeder, that's the person to best advise you - they should know what works best for their breed and their bloodlines. And do feed at regular intervals rather than allow free-feeding (cats snack, dogs shouldn't).
Living with a breed prone to GDV (Bloat with torsion) I have always fed adults twice a day rather than one big meal.
