Hello, we have a 4 year old pembroke Corgi who injured her back when she was one (jumping out of a truck and twisting as she landed). It has been an up and down experience for the past 3 years, and mostly getting more down than up lately. In fact, today she can hardly move. The vet says they don;t know what's wrong with her (x-rays ok), and as we have had good luck with acupressure/acupuncture on ourselves, we were wondering if there is info 'out there' which we could obtain and put to use?
We live on the southern Oregon coast in the States, so was also wondering if there is an assoc of vets/chiropractors/acupuncturists who specialize in working on animals? Perhaps there are videos even?
In years past I would have considered putting her down in the not too distant future, but the problem is she's the sweetest, smartest, most personable dog we've ever owned, so we are willing to go the extra-extra mile.

Check in your phone book for Dr. Pitcairn, DVM. He is a renowned Homeopathic vet who lives/works in the Eugene area. While I don't always agree with his theories on vaccinations, I do like much of his other views.

I know that the Homeopathic medicines do help my dogs out quite a bit. I have a DVM husband/wife team who work together with 'modern' and alternate medicines. She is certified for acupuncture. Both were educated in the US.

So, if you can't locate Dr. Pitcairn or the links don't help, call around locally and ask for a vet who does acupuncture/homeopathy. There's a vet college up in Portland, so they might be able to recomend someone or even offer to look at your dog.
