hi folks-any idea what id type into google to find a chiropractor for my dog?ive typed in loads of different combinations, but just get human ones,i tried "physio for dogs"but just got fun things, not sure how much use itd be,my dog was diagnosed with a swollen muscle and is on anti inflamatories, shes had problems before, had x rays(nothing showed up)and eventually a 6 week period of minimal exersize and painkillers and anti inflamatories(carprox)so the muscle clearly seems weak. Or any other alternative therapies, worth trying, this has been going on for nearly a year now,on and off,and naturally,i want her better. i know sometimes you hear through "word of mouth"but im off the dog training circuit these days.i could ask my vet?thanks for any help x

wow,thankyou tatty-ead and nikita,bless you both x

How about finding a dog hydrotherapy pool - that should provide gentle exercise. I also had one of mine given acupuncture - he had two courses from a vet at the practice I was with, who married conventional 'vetting' with alternative medicine. I'm not sure quite how much this helped in truth, but it didn't do any harm ...... he dozed off!
There is a fab woman called Tamsin who her has a place just off M4 near bath but north side of M4 - Chipping Sodbury, Freedom vet rehab, she was at the Smart Clinic in Wales but now has her own place. Cannot recommend her enough, she does chiro, acupuncture and water treadmill and really is amazing and really helped my dog with his knee problem to prevent from having surgery.

Not sure where you are based but the osteopath I go to in Nantwich, Cheshire also does canine osteopathy. It does say on the website they treat dogs in Nantwich but also all over the uk so might be worth a look - Weaver House.

Would suggest that if at all possible you make sure you see a McTimmony chiro rather than an osteopath or ordinary chiro. I have had all three I found the McT far more effective and less painful - I'm sure dogs would feel the same.
Zuma ( and previous dogs) have all been to McT with results from good to absolutely amazing

I find the same, for me at least. I've had 2 osteos and 2 regular chiros and they do not do anything like as good a job as the McTim I see now. I've also had a freelance physio come out for River and she was useless - she was also falsely claiming to be an osteopath. Told me River had no misalignments which I knew was absolute rubbish. Next chance I could I got the McTim in and she found plenty, and River was much more comfortable afterwards for being straightened out.
thanks everybody,i have now found a mc timoney lady, emma punt,an osteopath that also treats canines and a canine physio,so im spoiled for choice!just waiting for replies.Thankyou everybody for your help xx
