its a bit late to ask help now,i ve known about this problem long enough,but,maybe for next time!  After my dogs have been separated,only ever for a week,when i go away,i can take one dog,the other 2 go to family members.Keen to get my"family"back together i collect them asap,but they behave like a pack of sharks-as if they dont know/cant stand each other-,it settles down after a day or so,and theyre back to normal.

this time,i was in hospital for 3 days,i got 2 of my dogs back straight away,there was plenty of growling and wariness,but by the next day they were ok with each other-one of my daughters wouldnt bring gwen back on the grounds she d be too disruptive and perhaps get me hurt,with some justification,as shes verylively and random and doesnt care who she treads on!,so she kept her another week-i wasnt happy because i knew the longer apart the worse itd be,but i could see the sense,i live alone.ive just got her back tonight,and it was chaos at first,but couldve been a lot worse,shes now ok with my youngest,but the oldest one isnt right with her yet.ive put a crate in my room for her so she feels safe-also so i feel safe!
I must come across as an awful owner,other people would have sorted this,but the last year ive been in a lot of pain and not able to walk the miles i used to with them,but they always had 2 or 3 walks a day.

what id like to know is,if i cant stop this happening,id like at least to know why it happens!ive never been much good at dog behaviour,despite having dogs for 50 years.thanks for reading this,pam

Can't give any advise or thoughts on the problem but please make sure u don't over do things trying to sort out the grumblies. U need to be very careful moving around and sounds like your daughter was very sensible

i think she was,chris-probably the first time shes ever been called that!everythings back to normal now,though,and im getting better every day,but i expect its going to be this way whenever theyre separated.hope your dogs are all ok,pam
