I'm trying to find out about this breeder -
Yvonne Daunton
who, in the 1960s started deliberately breeding for white German shepherd dogs but there seems to be very little information available about her. I don't even know which kennel she was associated with.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Many thanks.

One probable reason your having difficulty with her name is that 'someone' seems to have used ''
The Right To Be Forgotten' European court ruling to stop or impair finding her. Anyway, there is reference to her & others, Rin Tin Tin is also mentioned as if he was a part of her era, but, he was a WW1 dog, Rin Tin Tin films were made into the 1950's so maybe it's the old films she was/is connected to. Malcolm Willis who's mentioned as being of that era died in 2011, see link for detail:

She had NO connection to Rin Tin Tin nor his breeders, her best known dog was
Hendrawens Vondaun Quebec sire of the epileptic Hendrawen's Quadrille of Eveley stud dog behind so many Alsatians with epilepsy still being born TODAY !!
I suppose you already know that she bred Ch. Vondaun Ulric of Dawnaway. I don't know any more about her than that, but do remember that White Shepherds, (Alsatians), we're very popular in the 60's with the servicemen on American Airbases. I had a friend who went to work as a kennelmaid for a Miss Scott in Norfolk, who bred white GSD's, and also goats, under the affix Blinkbonny.

As I was the poster who mentioned 'Rin Tin Tin' I assume the above line post refer's to the text at link in my post.
Where have I, or anyone else (eg my link), said she was connected to Rin Tin Tin or his breeders? for the record & to save you 'attempting' to accurately read my post, the link I gave says........Quote, ''Breeders like Yvonne Daunton and the people behind RinTinTin, and many others, knew about the bloodlines''
.
I had a bitch, born in 1980, whose sire was Vondaun Bright Star. He was a bicolor, almost all black with gold lower legs. I did obedience with her but unfortunately she died of cancer aged four.

Thank you everyone, I shall look in to the link and the kennel name. I'm not looking for any particular reason, just trying to educate myself.

I personally Knew Yvonne over several years, also helped at her kennels when she was ill ..she had some beautiful dogs, she got into blues too at the time i knew her and from there i fell in love with that colour..Yvonne eventually sold her kennels and emigrated to Australia to be close to her ex-husband...she was an awesome lady, i learned so much from her and will always be grateful to the knowledge she passed on to me .
Yvonne Daunton was my grandmother. She passed away a few years ago after moving to Australia for the last 10 years of her life to be close to one of her daughters after living in the UK for most of her life. She bred many white alsatians for the Japanese Police force and was a Crufts judge at one stage. Her kennel name was Vondaun Alsatins and was last located in Braintree Essex. Happy to chat further.
Hi Viki, Yvonnes grand daughter Carole here - I remember your name from when I was a child and lovely to see your name again. Yvonne passed away at the end of 2012 sadly.
Love these last two posts. There is something really special about people connecting like this.
