For the last week its been very difficult to get our bitch to eat, Gone off Royal Canin, eats a bit of chicken up till sat, now today not wanting chicken just drinking and fetching it up. Not due for another 4 days, scanned for 7. Is puffing a lot, temp 37-7 no nesting at all yet. Hate going to vets incase you catch something else, I had K Cough in a bitch years ago, which passed to pups, awful for us all. Any ideas most welcome please.

Well for starters, don't panic!!    If a small bitch is carrying a big litter, there's just no room inside for much food - and the puppies will be taking what they need, even if once whelped, mum is likely to look very lean and will need FOOD.    As long as she doesn't have a nasty discharge (foul smelling) all you can do is sit it out.    Do you have a mentor to hold your hand through all this?   If so, now is the time to get him/her involved.   You are right re infection and vets - sick dogs go to vets.

Just don't leave her now and we always slept, one of us, with our bitches who'd be in their whelping box by this stage.

ps   Concentrate on protein (food) not bulk.

It's very normal for bitches to go off their food towards the end of a pregnancy.  Like MamaBas says, there isn't room!

Offer a small amount of food, frequently - rather than a big meal a couple of times a day.  Feed any meats that she will eat - tempt her with whatever you need to.  Don't feed calcium (cheese, ice cream etc) yet - not until at least one pup has been whelped.
