Lucky for you Sam, falling asleep I mean. You missed nothing.
I watched about half of it, but I could not stand any more so turned it off.

Well I missed the beginning, but saw about half of it and found the ending a bit weird:confused:

Where did you see up to Sam and I'll fill you in:)

As far as I can remember I saw the bit where the woman drugged him & got his Swiss bank Account details, then he seemed to be penniless & hitching a lift back from central america & then turned up at his home to find the receivers had been in......can't remember any more than that!

Weirdest ending to a modern film has to be "Fight Club" with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. Didn't make any sense at all with the blowing up of the city

The Game and Fight Club, both directed by David Fincher. My hubby wanted to watch it but fell asleep half way through - I wasn't bothered but I hate starting a film and not finishing. At the end he found out the guy who first spoke to him at the company was an actor, found him and forced him to take him to HQ where everyone we had seen up to that point was in the same room, security started shooting at him he grabbed the girl and took her onto the roof, guards started cutting through the doors to get at him, she realised the gun he had was real and told him it was all part of the game but he didn't believe her, shot the first person through the door who happened to be his brother carrying champagne. As he lies dead on the roof, douglas emulates his father and jumps from the roof......
.....landing on a large inflatable thingy just as they knew he would. It was all part of his birthday present and everyone in his life was in on it.

Anyone seen ExisTenz? reminded me of that.

I see someone beat me to it:) Oh well I shall take this opportunity to ask Sam how Holly is doing these days? We don't seem to have had an update for ages:)

Hi Sam. I loved that movie, The Game. You wouldn't believe the ending. It was all a "game". His brother did this to him for a birthday present so he (Michael Douglas) would appreciate life more. Boy, anyone would after all that happened to them. So none of the things that happened to him really happened. They were all actors, playing "the game". Great flick! Shirl :-)

Thanks everyone....I promise to try & stay awake for the next film, but I certainly didn't anticipate THAT ending...I thought it was a genuine con trick to get his money! Wish I had seen it now!

Re Holly (well you DID ask) due to me being
a) laid up for a week ill and
b) busy getting lots of last minute assignments and jobs about the farm finished in prep for pups which are due in 10 days (NO I'M NOT PANICKING) :) she hasd been grounded for two weeks, much to her disgust. However, training resumed Sunday and I plan to fly her every day now. Yesterday she took off & chased 4 pheasants without success & when Sharon was down a week or two ago we took her out & she caught a rabbit, but it was a bit strong for her I think, because she ended up letting it go & it went back down its hole. The funniest bit was watching her stride through the undergrowth to the hole & put her head in to look for it!
I promise to keep you updated on any further advances in her training and her quarry kill rate.

Sam, the end really was weird. He was so wound up that he thought he'd ended up shooting his brother , and was so desperate that he threw himself off the multi-storey building, through a glass conservatory roof, apparently about 200 feet, and landed on an air cushion in front of all the actors, and his brother (who wasn't dead at all).

Then they all had a big party and he went halves with his brother on the bill.

So sad that I stayed awake to see it!!!

Jo, you did a much better job telling the ending than I did. Good job! Shirl

Thank you:) Fascinating hearing about her training - I did LOL about wandering over to the rabbit hole though:)

Good luck with the pups and I hope you are feeling better now:)
