"Injured war veterans and landmine victims may soon receive a pioneering new treatment that could result in them not having to face amputation after it was successful on a dog. Eva, a two-year-old Munsterlander, was rushed to the vet with a broken leg after she was hit by a car. But despite their best efforts, veterinary surgeons could not repair the 0.7 inch fracture to her right foreleg, leaving her concerned owner, fearing she would face amputation."
