We have a 3y/o bitch whom is currently on day 53 of her pregnancy.. We have noticed the pups have dropped considerably over the last 24hrs. She's been nesting for a couple of days, swollen vulva with clear mucus like discharge (vets confirmed that all normal)

We have been advised that's she's carrying at least 5 puppies (relying on ultrasound scan which hasn't got a clear indication)

Our mentor has been to see us today and thinks she may whelp the puppies over the next 24hrs, if so has any experienced a whelp on day 53/54?

This is our first litter thus any kind advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
