So, my old girl has had to be put on Incurin (1mg tablet a day) because she's leaking pee.  It appears to be working, which is good.

When I went to pick up a month's worth today, it cost £18.27.  Is this what other people are paying for it?  Thx.

We are going to try to go down to half a tablet a day so it might cost half this amount - fingers crossed!

Vetmedic sell them at 43p each for 1mg, - £12.90 for 30 - didn't check any others, If your Vet has a sensible price to do a prescription with repeats it would be worth it

Is there a cost to get a prescription from the vet, to factor in on top of the cost from an online pharmacy place?

Yes of course.  My vet charges £20 for one.  I found it easier to get a deal from him than get a prescription.  However it was for far , far more money per month than your £18.  In excess of £100 per month, yes just for one of my gang.

If its gong to be long term cost of one prescription  and u can ask it too be written out for a few months at a time. Saves money that way

If it's £20 for a prescription, then I don't know if it's worth asking the vet for one and ordering online.  Unless they will give me a year's prescription in one go, then it might be worth it.

If you can find a vet who will do that.  Most vets, with long term medication on a dog, will insist on a monthly check up for the pet.  Sad, but true.

I think we just need a check-up every year, but I'll have to find out.

My vet charges £18 for a scrip. They are valid for 3 months supply, so it is only worth it for more expensive drugs.

If your vet practice is "owned" by the same company as Pet Drugs on Line then you can get a free prescription voucher from PDOL which you just hand to your vet and he emails it to PDOL to enable you to get your prescription. It doesn't sound as though you are being over charged for Incurin at your vets.
