Hi,
I have a 6 year old siberian husky girl who for the past few weeks has suddenly started draining any water bowl in sight, wanting to go for a wee constantly and sometimes just walking about in the house and weeing with no warning (note its normal for her to wee/poo while walking she never stays in one place long!).
Shes just come into season a few days ago and it seems to have eased off a little however shes still not her usual self. wee doesnt seem to have a smell and looks clear. i dont think its old age as 6 isn't that old for a husky. shes fed raw and skinner salmon & rice on alternative days, I've recently been mixing a cheaper working dog food in with their dry food however none of the other dogs (6 altogether) seem to be showing any of these signs so dont think its the food.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are? I'm thinking the usual diabetes, water infection etc.. i'm hoping its just hormonal with her season but if it gets worse ill be seeking veterinary advice.
Thank you.

I'd definitely go to the vet right away with that...
Diabetes sounds like a possibility. I had a cat with it. It's perfectly treatable. Just a bit fiddley. Let us know how you get on. Vet visit in order. Good luck.

I'm also thinking that diabetes could be a real possibility. Definately a visit to the vet required. Let us know how it goes.

Diabetes is possible, and if the normal test comes back clear, have them test for diabetes insipidus: it's a longer duration test so doesn't show on a basic thing.
Also, Cushing's can cause these symptoms - there's typically a pot belly too, but not always so worth keeping in mind.

Personally I would be popping her down to the vets today if she's as bad as you've posted.

Sound like her kidneys could be an infection.

As is usually best with something 'new', I'd get a vet to take a look. Collect some of her urine and take it, fresh, with you so he can run a urinalysis. It might be diabetes, but not necessarily. Hopefully it's not kidney disease because that's often fairly advanced before symptoms present. Could be a pyometra, but if she's having a season, that would be unlikely, much as she really could do with being spayed now. Most of mine were spayed, on retirement, by around 5 - 6 years.
Just guesses - hopefully your vet will be able to be more accurate than that!

Any news Siberfox?
This was the main symptom of my last dog's chronic kidney disease until almost the very end, except that he was elderly and for him onset was very very slow (years). Definitely a vet trip for this.

I had a bitch once who I THOUGHT had come into season -except it wasn't at the right time. Other than that she seemed fine. Turned out she had pyometra. She was lucky to survive. I would be at the vets instantly. Drinking excessively is common with pyometra.
My first thought is diabetes, but with you saying that she's recently come into season I would guess water infection.
Hope she's feeling better soon.
Thank you everyone for your comments, wasn't expecting so many replies so fast!
Earliest i could get into vets was wednesday so i will be going prepared with her urine sample (thanks for the idea MamaBas!). Again thank you all for your replies, all have been very helpful and i'll be armed now with a list of things i want checking and hopefully no stone will be left unturned.
She's not been too bad today and seems fine in herself curled in her favourite place (my knee, the big fluffly lump lol). i'm hoping i'm over-reacting and maybe over-emphasising what shes doing, as anything not the norm usually gets alarm bells ringing however will keep you all posted if i get any updates xxx

Agree the age and sudden onset in an entire bitch first thought Pyometra,
second UTI a possibility due to hot weather, (bacteria thrive in warm humid weather) perhaps holding longer,
third could it simply be the hot weather, (mine drink and pee more when it's hot) but if it's that noticeable perhaps not.
Diabetes maybe less likely, but possible.
