Hello I am new to this forum and would like some advice please ? I mated my bitch two weeks ago with a stud dog that I own .. My bitch is showing no signs of now been in season and has no interest in him what so ever , my male  is an experienced stud dog and for the last three days he has been going crazy for my girl .. As if she is I full blown heat .. Any ideas ? Thank you

Bitch. Dogs can be very interested in a bitch with an infection.

She was put on antibiotics day one till day 7 of season so I would not think its that and no clear signs of any infection , just wondered could she be giving off some kind of hormone after mating ? Never had this before :( thank you for your help

Could be a good sign, one of my dogs (who had never been used at stud) acted as though a bitch in whelp was in season.

Thank you :)) I was kind of hoping the same as my other stud dog has no interest in her at all ... But the other one is Defo picking up on something X

My girl had an infection as noted by a swab prior to mating so was given ab's before her season, I then gave ab's from first day of mating as recommended by repro vet and then a few weeks after mating she had am infection sp back on ab's so I wouldn't rule out that she hasn't got an infection

Thank you all for your help ... As she is possibly in pup would it be ok for vet to give her Antibiotics? Would that not affect the pups ? Thank you

Synulox and kesium are fine to give, both the same thing just different branded names. Make sure you let the vet know if you do get some. Has she got a discharge at all?

Thanks again :) no discharge and I have swabbed her and she smells totally normal X
