To cut a long story short. A couple at work decided that they needed to lose weight and thought 'let's get a dog to walk'. An hour later they had, despite my guidance as to what to look for and explaining test results etc etc, secured a Springer puppy in the next town to where they live. They picked a boy, £100 cheaper, and it was the smallest and sooo cute, their words not mine. Breeder must know their Springers as they own Mum and Dad.
Roll forward a few weeks and after weekly visits they have been allowed to take pup home early at 6 weeks as the litter had started fighting each other! He arrived on Saturday and has been crying at night but despite living over an hours commute from work they both trooped in on Monday morning as parents were visiting and would be there to lunch time and daughter , 14 years old, would be home for pup after 4!
Both in work again today but Hubby must have felt guilty as he left to 'work from home' at 1, by the time he got home it would have been home alone for 7 hours.
Not on, rant over.
