Hi,
I would like to try ringcraft classes in Cuckfield West Sussex. Does anyone go to this class and if so could I please have the contact details. I have a 10 week old Boxer puppy.

Not my area, but right now, at only 10 weeks, I'd concentrate on Puppy Socialising Classes, which many vets provide - once he's had all his vaccination. I always took mine to Ringcraft but not under 4+ months. Every experience should be a good one and even if being a Boxer, he's full of himself, you don't want to risk putting him off by doing too much, too soon. And the attention span of a puppy this young, is very short. Collar, then lead and housetraining and reacting to his name - probably all you should be focusing on right now.
One in Haywards Heath I believe
Fabulous, I need all the advice I can get on this one

We start puppy classes this evening for 6 weeks and will take your advice about 4+ months for ringcraft. I've been told that puppy is good enough to show so thought I would have a go although I have no idea about showing so will use the extra time to go to a couple of shows and to do a bit of reading.
Thanks for getting back to me.

I attend this ringcraft and its one of the best in the area, I start with my puppies on top of puppy obedience as soon as they've had their jabs as many people do there. This coming Monday is match night I believe. They have a facebook page under Haywards heath and district ringcraft. Lots of updates on there.

There is an open show at ardingly this Sunday if you're interested to go along and watch, you can take your pup and say to the secretary that he's come to socialise and for you to learn, they may ask for a £1 fee for a spectator dog. I'll be there as well with my pup.
Fabulous, that's great, thanks for the info. What's match night....doh.
Hi can you give me the details of where the show is please as I can't get info off face book yet. Have done a friends request. Thanks so much.

We have 3 weeks of training and then one week is match, so all the puppies at the club go up against each other for best puppy ij match, yearling, open and veteran. If you win or come in as second place you qualify for dog of the year in Dec. We have guest judges and we don't know who they are until we turn up on the night. Plus also have junior and adult handling too.
The show is at the south of England showground, you will see signs for dog show parking, north caroark. It will be in the abergavenny building and you will ser all the dogs and exhibitors coming and going. Starts at 9.30

It Horley open show, so all breeds. Your pup wont be able to compete in the match nights for best puppy until 4 months but she can do the puppy wall so the judge still goes over her and they often give tips as well for baby puppies. All good experience.
Fabulous, I'll try to get to dog show. I'll bring my puppy along too. Many thanks.
