Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Luna & me, natural instinct or nutriment puppy

So in my quest for an alternative to natures menu we tried nutriment with Molly but her stolls started to get a little hard for her ... So a given she is13 in a couple of months, loves her natures menu (country hunters one not senior) and even though we give her the country hunters mixer (I know many people don't agree but it gives her the fibre) I'm not changing her diet. She's a fab Ckcs and at almost 13yr doing great guns. However I go get my bishon puppy in April and won't to do raw with him. I have found a local independent pet shop (love supporting a local business) that do natural instinct and nutriment although they don't stick the puppy as standard (I'm going to ask if they could get it in). But on googling I've found luna and me. Now I love how natures menu comes in nuggets so I can get exactly what I need out (not putting puppy on their puppy range as it has rice in). Luna and me come in patties so convince wise I like that more than the other 2 (when we tried nutriment I hated the faff with the large tub needing to be cut up). So to finally get to the point has anyone tried it? And those who use the other 2 how do you manage dividing up the food when in one big lump?
Thanks

Natures Menu is a fabulous product that you are using for your oldie! It will be fantastic for your puppy too.

Your new puppy will be fine if you feed an adult product, it is usually just the mince size that determines puppy from adult. Remember to give your puppy a raw chicken wing twice a week or so to be sure of a good calcium intake and teeth cleaner.
Very firm/hard poo's are quiet normal with an all meat raw diet, it is not a bad sign as it helps express the anal glands and keeps them healthy, however sometimes a very white crumbly poo is produced after eating a large amount of bone, (not a problem) it will change again when normal food is resumed. Adding veg is perfectly fine.

Natures Menu are backed with advice from an absolutely fantastic vet "Nick Thompson" who strongly believes in a natural raw diet.
Stick with a product that you know and are happy with your puppy will be fine too.

Thanks. I might email them and see what they say about the country hunters range. I add coconut oil to the morning meal to which Molly loves. She doesn't have bones as she has 4 teeth but Im thinking about crushed whitebait as a treat for her now and again.

I emailed natures me and they said I can feed the same food from 16 weeks so I'll keep with the food pup comes with until then and then go to natures menu

Probably a good decision.
Good luck
