hi
lord h is off to vet tommoro he has sore swollen ear lob
been polticing and bathing it over weekend their blood and pus coming out and very warm
will he still be able to be shown at irvine and dist open show on 27th feb
do kc allow dogs to be shown thats on antibotics etc
i now with horses we can not
not sure what kc rules are etc

There aren't any KC rules about showing dogs that are being medicated. As long as your boy is happy and in no pain or discomfort, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to show him.
I hope he's better very soon.

As far as I'm aware, and it's been a few years!, the KC has no rules re showing a dog on medication.   BUT you should be aware at Championship shows at least (may be the same with the lesser shows now?) BOBs have to have a vet inspection before going forward to the Group.   So anything the dog is visibly suffering with could mean he's d/q.   And I'd not put a dog who is on medication through the stress of going to a show in any case.

its just open show he is going to
lord h has vet today at 4.30
even with sore ear lord h is his happy laid back self
their is lot of rules showing horses so was not sure if kc is same
i am newbie showing dogs well 6yrs mainly open shows

That's only the category 3 breeds, Pointers not included in the 13 breeds, and there is no disqualification involved, just means the BOB won't be awarded, any CC won is kept.

Of course.  I was forgetting this only applied to those breeds deemed to be 'at risk'.   And I should have said d/q..... from taking part in the Group.

i do not do champ shows anymore due to no car
only do open shows i can get bus to
it was hematoma and infection
the vet drained it he on inti imflam orol and steriod cream ear to get washed twice day and cream applyed
the vet said he will be left with caulflower ear she said their is op that will smooth ear it involves splitting ear and stitching it back i have decided not to op
lord h is 9yr do not want to put him thro general anthistic
the vet said she never met such well behaved pointer and so laid back.vet was saying she nows pointer people but did not now lord h breeding
he really appy in him self eating .playing and hogging the sofa
