Hello, can anyone offer any advice.

Ive an 8 month old bitch pup she gets very excited when out walking, when she sees other dogs some times other people she cries barks as though she's never seen another dog in her life. Other dog walkers see her as being aggressive, which I don't blame them.
The thing is at ring craft or shows we get out the car she barks and jumps about for a few minutes then she's fine unless another dog jumps at her, she can be in a crowded ring and she's fine, in the street she seems to get louder till the other dog is out of site. Just gets a bit embarrassing when out walking/exercising.

Ive hoping its something she will grow out off.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to my world, sensible as can be in doggy venues, it's just the dogs in the street, frustrated greeting behaviour and excitement.

With mine it's two of the 6 (one copies the other), and of course I can't stop and allow her to greet the other dog as they would find 6 dogs overwhelming.  On the odd occasion with a very confident dog and owner I have been able to let mien greet one at a time by holding the rest back, and no problems.

It is embarrassing, and other than walking the two culprits on their own and greeting every dog we meet I don't know the answer as at shows, training classes, etc not an issue.

As for growing out of it my gobby twosome are 3 1/2 and nearly 5.  I would try and see if the other dogs owner will let you greet, as you (I assume) only are walking the one.
