My girl was due in season as much as any girl is, in November. Her daughter came in a week before Boston and I thought this may have brought her in but no signs of swelling etc the usual. I noticed some colour from her vulva on Monday so marked on the calendar and spoke to stud dog owner, ordered progesterone kits etc etc. now today day 6 still no swelling so wiped her and she has a greenish discharge smells abit funky, hasten to add she is in perfect health eating drinking happy merry self. I now don't think it's a season at all due to complete lack of swelling and the usual signs. So what is it? Her last season was fine and her daughter is 14 months old.

pyo ? I have heard of dogs that are fine but still have pyo might be worth a vet check . as you know it san emergency if that is the case
She hasn't had a season since may,

If there is any smelly discharge I would get it checked just in case. it may be nothing or
something that can be easily sorted but not worth the chance form your description

If it's green it's an infection, get her to the vets
It's now not green, just wiped her. Doesn't smell this time and it's like a browny bloody snot. Abit goopy I have taken a picture but don't think I can upload. I think I'll go to the vets anyway to be safe.

Green can be just vaginitis. It sounds like early season bleeding... Mine sometimes start off brown,go to red, back to brown then taper off to yellow/ green/ opaque at the end.
