My bitch has a Histiocycoma on her hind leg, it's not particularly bothering her but it is ugly.
She is booked in to have it removed on Thursday but having read posts on here I'm now not sure if I should or let it go on it's own. I'm speaking to the vet tomorrow but wondered what you all thought?

She is entered into a couple of shows before Christmas, would you show her with one of these or get it removed first?

Thanks

I had one on a year old bitch. I went away on its own pretty quickly..... I did spray it every day with colloidal silver.

My boy had one at just over a year old. It stayed bright red and around the size of a small pea. Almost overnight it started getting bigger the skin got thinner and it went into a big black scabby blob. There was no way it was going away on its own and had to be removed.

Had one on a young bitch which flared up into a wet mess, it was removed.

My bitch had one on her nose a few years back, looked really ugly. Vet advised to leave for six weeks as it might go on its own, we got to about 5 weeks and it was still there but sure enough by six weeks it has gone completely.

Thanks everyone.

For those that went on its own, did it turn black and a bit crumbly? Ella's is still pink one side but black and dried out on the other end. She's having it removed Thursday but won't put her through another anaesthetic if it's starting to go by itself.

I don't remember, it just seemed to shrink and disappear

Same here..... If its changing I wouldn't risk the GA..... It sounds like it is drying up on its own.
