I know that if a carrier is mated with a clear they say the average results is 50/50 but can anyone who has done a carrier x clear mating tell me what their results were ie how many pups in litter and how many were carriers.Im interested in a pup from a mating like this, breeder with dna testing them but just curious to see actual results, thanks

You simply can't know you could have all the pups be carriers or all clear, just like a litter can be all dogs or all bitches, but statistically should be 50/50 or large numbers.

Someone in my breed mated a clear dog to carri3er bitch twice.

First litter two males, both clear.

Second litter of 6, 3 of each sex, 1 clear bitch 2 carriers, and all 3 dogs were carriers.

So 8 pups overall, 5 males with 2 clear, and 3 bitches only 1 clear.

So neither sex or genetics came through on such a small sample.
