I am looking for a Van/Car rental co. who's vehicles are reliable and not too expensive as mine is going back and having to wait 4-6weeks for the new one. Have to take the dogs out twice daily go to shows etc.

Having read your previous (I think?) if I were you, I think I might consider buying a 'banger' rather than rent - and many rental companies don't allow dogs in their vehicles in any case?   I still think the Company you are involved with over all this, should be supplying you with a courtesy car.

FWIW, we used Thrifty recently and they were very obliging and didn't cost an arm and a leg, but it was just for the day.

MamaBas is right in that most, of not all, rental companies will not allow dogs in their cars. Vans are a different matter, they're usually 'working' vans and they don't mind what you do with them. Unfortunately though they often have solid bulkheads, so you can't see the back of the van or the dogs. Go round your nearest rental companies and look at the vehicles, recommendations are pretty worthless unless they are from people in your area. Be honest with the rental people or you risk losing your deposit or extra cleaning charges. I've hired several vans when I have doggy friends staying and too many dogs for my car, last year I hired a minibus that we fitted 9 people and 13 dogs in with the companies blessing.

Thanks for your advice. I am purchasing the new vehicle from a different dealer as these didn't want to know. A van would get too hot if enclosed this weather.
