- By tiny_shadow [us] Date 11.05.15 05:40 UTC
I have a male lab puppy 18 weeks and 3 days old. He weights 51.6 lbs. He is not fat or super thin. He is very active.

His father was an English black lab and weighed over 100 lbs.
His mother was a chocolate american lab and weighed about 70 lbs

I don't know about puppies but my adult male lab (10 now) weighs 33kg which is about 73lbs. He is a working type lab and quite slim but not skinny.

My 18 week old lab pups are 21kgs & 22kgs (bitches) not sure how that compares to lbs.....they are carrying a little excess weight though

Hi thank your for your replies. 51.6 lbs is 23.4kgs. He is being trained as a bird hunting dog, he also has a lot of muscles.

He was the runt of his little only weighing about 8 lbs/3.6kgs at almost 8 weeks. So was the last one left when I was there but I fell in love with him the moment I saw him.

Right now I am feeding him nutro lamb and rice for large breed puppies is this a good pick for him? He eats about 1.6cups/ 378.5mls three times a day as to what it says on the bag to feed him.
It is what he was eating with the breeder.

Just to pick up on this, the details on the bag are just a guideline and you will have to adjust accordingly to his own bodyweight. So if he is getting a little plump, a little less or a little slight a little more. Although I like pups to be on the slightly plumper side myself & he is still only 18 wks
