I have been talking about my Beagle on the 'Feeding' site and how she has had a massive reaction to a diet food, the result being she has ulcerated and bleeding colon and stomach.
At my vets last night she recommended giving Gaviscon double strength, this was as well as Pro Kolin and Metronidazole. She said that she could have given me a load of medicine that would be very costly but it would be the same and work as well as the Gaviscon.
So I rushed to the 24 hour supermarket, bought the Gaviscon Double Strength and dosed my Beagle ( as a guide the Beagle was on 5ml 2-3 times daily) It worked within minutes to ease her tummy and led to a good night sleep for the first time in a week. She has been going out so much through the night that I have had to leave the door open even though we all froze, but she needed access. Last night she only went out once at bedtime and then this morning.
I will definitely add this Gaviscon Double Strength to my emergency box
