I have a young cavalier who is crate trained. The crate we use at home is a folding metal one and quite heavy. I am thinking of buying a crate to use just in the boot of my car - a Rover 216 hatchback. The boot is medium sized and I am finding it difficult to find a crate to fit. I have found one folding metal one at Champion Pet Stores which is sloped at the front. It will take up the entire boot. I am sure I have seen pics of some which slope at the front and back and which would make better use of the boot space. Any suggestions ? Or would forum members recommend something like a Kennel Cab and be lighter to transfer to my husband's car? This would keep her warmer in the winter but I am concerned that it could be stuffy in the Summer - don't worry I have no intention of leaving her in it in hot weather. Help please.
