We have tickets for Crufts on the Friday but we're unable to get tickets for the arena. My question is will we be able to see BOB and best in group or do these take place in the obedience/ agility arena. Newbies to the showing world as you can tell.

Groups on Thurs/Fri/Sat are free to watch and you don't need tickets. Only Sunday requires tickets.
Edited to say: BOB will be in respective breed ring.

Thank you so much for that. Looking forward to it so much. We hope to be showing ourselves eventually and just gathering all the info at the moment.

Have fun! It's a huge show of course and really nothing like any other dog show here in the UK, but I for one love Crufts.

Last years visit to crufts was my first. Now I'm hooked on dog showing and am going with my own dog this year!

You will get addicted ;)

This might seem like a silly question to the old hands but do you get a break in the judging for lunch or do we have to take a packed lunch. Another question is what would be the best time to go shopping during the day. I need to buy lots of grooming stuff and have been told that we can get bargains.

this is a link to the trade stands there  but there is usually a better list out a bit nearer - unless this is the 'new improved'!!! (less good) version.
As there are 5 halls all with trade stands, if I want to look for something specific I usually try to find the Hall/Stand number before hand as it is so easy to keep missing it. Alternatively you can buy a souvenir show guide which has a list of stands all under the relevant categories.

No break for lunch, you can take your own food or plenty of food places available in most of the halls- at a price! and long queues at peak lunch time!

When I eventually go to Crufts, I think I'll have to sell my internal organs on E Bay to finance all the gear for sale :yell:

Atleast for a time you'll be the richest toe in England ;)

For shopping I'd allways recommend if you have the time to take a wonder around all the stalls  and when u see something u like make a note of the stand, hall and price then go back later. When I was looking for a crate there was a big diffrence in price between the stalls for the same size.

Good luck to the new people to showing at Crufts. Just remember at the end of the day, you take the best dog home, big pat on the back for even qualifying.
