After a c-section I'd give at least one clear season to allow the uterus to heal fully.

I've always been advised to leave mating on the next season after a c-section so that her body has time to recover. I would also be prepared that any further litters have to be born this way. My vet will only do an elective C-section once bitch is showing signs of going into labour so that any pups born will be of a viable age.
