I'm surprised the vet gave Synulox but nothing for rehydration. The same happened to my pups when still very small indeed, this was at about 3 weeks. The smallest was so ill I thought I'd lose him. I gave Life Aid which is oral rehydration for calves and pigs, half a ml (tiny pup remember -yours will be bigger) several times a day, and kept the pups very warm. Was not able to get to the vet as my husband was at work but spoke to the vet on the phone. The next day they had perked up and when I got to the vet she said giving antibiotics would only make it worse as that can upset the stomachs, and that rehydration solutions was the way to go, she didn't even see a need to give me anything other than the Life Aid as it was working well. I always keep it at home but obviously any vet will have anything similar to give you, usually sachets of powder to mix with water.

I have used and heard other have good results with prokolin paste. Would be worth giving even if it is just to replace some of the good bacteria lost to amtibiotics

Hope they are a bit better now. I know how awful it is to have puppies with diarrhoea. I too have used pro-kolin or similar and it has worked a treat.

Another here that keeps pro-kolin in stock always.  I have recently changed my supplier as I've found a cheaper pharmacy online.  About half the price of what the vet charges.  I used hyperdrug for many years, but needs must.
