Any recommendations for a supplier of good quality waterproof coats that fit well.

I use an Equafleece on my daxie. They do a daxie fit jumper & it keeps most of the wet out but probably wouldn't work in heavy rain but that doesn't matter for us as Reg 'doesn't do rain'! I also have a Buster Outdoor Wear winter jacket which isn't specifically for dachshunds but Reggie's fits well & is as waterproof as we need it to be.

I have been out in torrential rain with the dog in her Equafleece and she was bone dry underneath it.

I would agree that the best fitting coat for a Dachshund is the Equafleece Dachsie jumper, they are 100% water resistant so even though they get sopping wet underneath, when you take them off they dogs are dry and cosy, I like that their tummy is enclosed as that's where they get wet/cold being so low to the ground.

I have a Buster coat as well it isn't the heavy padded one but keeps her really dry. They have loops for the hind legs as well which helps keep it in place. I just wish they did a body suit one or one with a hood!
