This is so sad, I had to share, to make sure it could never happen again. A little dog 14 months adored by owner and family, lovely home. Just loved jumping up and looking out of the windows, yesterday 15th he was doing this and his id tag got caught in the radiator top grill. It was an awful accident, and he was found to late, It is such a sad time for them, and my heart goes out to them all. .

Oh how sad :(
I never leave collars on my dogs - I've had 2 very close calls with teeth getting caught in someone else's collar.

Oh that's awful, such a terrible accident!

Mine also don't wear collars indoors.

Mine don't wear collars indoors either.  I've heard of too many Chihuahuas that have hanged.

If I haven't got a dog sitter and I need to go out urgently my Chihuahuas are in a 4ft crate.  I have 4 of them specifically to ensure they can't get laid on by a Collie while I'm out.
