Hi,

Is anyone able to tell me the difference between the Dopram V sold at Hyperdrug to that sold at Vet-Medic?

The packaging looks a bit different & Vet-Medic seems to want to send it by Special Delivery as it needs chilling or similar............Hyperdrug happy to post 1st class.....

Thank you...:-)

Dopram is available in 2 forms

Dopram-V Drops 20 mg/ml oral drops solution
It is available without a veterinary prescription and is kept at room  temperature.
It is for sublingual use only.

Dopram-V Injection 20 mg/ml Solution for Injection
It is available only on vet prescription and is kept as a fridge item
It is for intravenous or subcutaneous injection and for topical sublingual use

Both products are identical in their consitution and are used to the same effect ie to initiate or stimulate respiration.

The drops are what you need for your whelping emergency pack

The injectable is only generally used in practice in cases of extreme respiratory emergency and would not normally be dispensed to clients
