I think I will put the WFT in for an Open show just before Christmas,  will give me something to aim for coatwise!  However although there are classes for WFTs in this show these are only Junior and Post Graduate.  So shall I put her in  Junior (she will be 10 months old) and can I also put her in AVNSC puppy - or is that not allowed?

Thanks all for your help as always!

If there are classes scheduled for your breed, even if only a single Open class, then you cannot enter AVNSC. You could enter AV Puppy though.

The thing to remember is that AVNSC are substitute breed classes, not variety classes.

So if your breed is scheduled you enter breed and variety classes as well if you wish.

Even though there is no puppy class, you can enter the other classes and a best puppy would be declared from the highest placed puppies in the other classes.

Yes, Junior and if there is AV Terrier Puppy. Otherwise there will be an AV Puppy but that'll be a big class and later in the day. If she isn't beaten by any other puppies in the Junior class she could get the Best Puppy award! :-) Which one are you doing, I am probably heading down to Colchester.

Oh that'll be fun, we can cheer each other on!

As others have said...Wire Fox Terrier have breed class, so you can not enter Not Separately Classified Puppy. I am curious that they have only Junior & Post grad and NO open class which is very unusual to not have open. You are eligible for Junior.
