My 11 year old cocker spaniel has had bouts of pancreatitis previously but hasn't had any since I started feeding him Naturediet fish (2% fat) 3 years ago.  I am now finding it difficult to source Naturediet and it has been unreliable in the past so will have to find him another low fat alternative. Today I found wainwrights low fat lite turkey and rice (3.6% fat) I was just wondering what people's experience was with wainwrights. Thanks.

Jax :-)

Many dogs with pancreatitis do very well on Chappie.

Yes, agree.  I had a toy poodle with pancreatitis, and she did very well on the tinned Chappie.  Many people on CD have found the same.

Iv just put our Border Collie pup 11months old on to Wainwrights after trying other foods with the result that he always had the runs after a couple of weeks ,hardly ate since the move 4 weeks ago clean bowl and solid stools we use the trays of turkey and rice mixed with some salmon and potato kibble works for us. Pup has been treated 3 times for colitis in the past

Just have to say it needs to be the original tinned (fish based) Chappie.

I too have known several Pancreatic dogs fed on this do well, as well as steamed white fish (economy fillets in supermarket, often Pollock) and brown rice.
