I am wondering what are the best foods to recommend to people? Ideally easy to find, good quality and both a reasonable price and more expensive brand? I feed raw and have for many years so I am not well up on the quality of the different foods but my customers often ask for suggestions. Or tell me that they feed Bakers. My mind tends to go blank and I cant think of what to suggest.

Arden grange is an ok mid range food, I quite like nature diet and will use that if I can't access raw for any reason. Orijen/Simpsons 80:20/Canagan/Millies wolfheart/Ziwipeak are good foods, Orijen and Ziwipeak the higher end of the market price wise. This is a good resource if they can access the internet: http://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/

James Wllbeloved is a good reasonably-priced food, as is Wainwrights (P@H own brand). Wainwrights also do a grain-free version in a couple of flavours.

Agree with JG as I feed my dog both of the above depending on what is on offer.  If you join the PAH VIP club (free) you get money off vouchers all the time.

I have fed some of the more pricier foods and they just didn't suit him as well as these brands, plus they were often hard to source.

Canagan, Symply, Acana, Orijen, Lily's kitchen are all good

I have recently changed my lad over on to this food (turkey/grain free) from JW and am very pleased with the results so far. The added bonus is that he really likes it. A minor miracle in itself :)
