I generally spay my girls after they have a litter or 2 but my 8 year old I have not yet because she has a tendency to gain weight and I was concerned this would add to it. She is fit and well generally. I also have her daughter who has had 1 litter and I have not had her spayed because may have another litter. She is not quite 4.
My question is has anyone noticed a change in skin / could be nervous system I'm not sure after having a litter.
The older one is now clipped but the younger is still stripped as I am showing her again. I'm a dog groomer so they are very well groomed.
I have noticed that both of them now do what I call quiver when being stroked along their back and are lifting their leg to have a little scratch.
I have 4 other dogs, one puppy, 2 older spayed bitches and a neutered dog and none of the others do this. They are fed on Arden Grange Lamb as generally mine seem to fair better on the lamb than the chicken.
It is almost something in their system has changed and they are more  sensitive since having the litters they had. Just curious as to whether anyone else has  experienced a change. They never have a skin problem but seem to be more squirmy when being stroked and perhaps a bit more itchy. Neither were like this before having puppies.

Sounds like they might benefit from a session with a canine physio.
