If a dog has DLE lupus would they be more likely to get the SLE lupus or is one very separate from the other?

I am asking as my wee sheltie is showing signs of either DLE Lupus or Pemphigus. She has had two courses of steroids and antibiotics. After the first course she was off about 10 days and symptoms started to return..( 1st incidence of illness was ....sore nose into the nasal cavity, bumps on her nose, swollen nostril, sore lips with ulceration of her palate and throat.
She also had an inflamed inner vulva....vet thought it was related because it seemed to be affecting mucus membranes.
Second time she was not as bad ( only because I was watching her closely ) but she had a fever of 39.5 as well as the other symptoms and depression.

She finished her second course of steroids and antibiotics yesterday...if it comes back again she is going for biopsy.

She will be two in November...
Thanks
J

Can anyone help?

my boy has DLE lupus, I took him on at 3 years old and he had it when he came to me. He is 9 years old now and apart from sores around the eyes, nose, ears and his "bits" is a lovely dog. He has good times and bad, bad times mean he isn't keen on eating, good times you would never know there is anything wrong. Various vets have tried many creams and potions for the sores but none really help so now I only visit the vet if he is in distress or a new symptom appears.  I can't offer you any miracle cures or suggestions, only tell you that we have learned to live with his condition and take it as it comes, when his eyes are looking sore I bathe them with warm water and bicarbonate of soda and he seems to really enjoy it. I keep him out of the sun, but he refuses to let me apply sun block as he doesn't like the sore bits being touched, and I bought him doggy sunglasses but his attitude to those is "you must be joking". I also never have his vaccination boosters done, he started with his symptoms a couple of weeks after his booster and although I don't know if there is a link I can't take the risk.
Sorry I don't know anything about SLE Lupus so can't help there. Please feel free to contact me if you want to ask anything.
