Hi Folks
I need your help.
I am currently trying to organise a coach to the Gundog breeds of Scotland Champ Show in November. If anyone knows any coach operators who take dogs please get in touch.

I am in Preston but willing to travel to get picked up on a motorway or something if I cant get a coach company to help.
Most have said they only take guide dogs!

You may be better off using the train, up to two dogs per person travel free, and if you get an advance/apex ticket you can save a lot of money on the normal fare. contact trainline and they can advise on special offers. When I can get there in time for judging I have used the train quite often, as due to poor sight I cannot drive.

I have used the train to shows quite a bit but if u get delayed & u r 1st in the ring you've had it. I also found it diffiult lugging all my stuff and this time will have 2 dogs so I am hoping I wont have to take the train. Also sometimes I have had difficulty getting transport from the train station to the shjowground. Most taxis only take guide dogs.

we travel up on a coach from the west yorkshire region if this is any use, as for the company that is used that is just a local coach company, we generally use the coach for any trips over 3 hours it is the easiest form of travel to long distance show as it means we can sleep all the way there and drink to celebrate or comiserate on the way home!!

Hi Louise
I don't know if you realise that Gundog of Scotland show is one of the few Ch shows where Cockers don't have tickets ie the Cocker classes have open show status only. Just thought I'd mention it as it's an awful long way to go for an open show :-) Apologies if you already know this!
Best Wishes

Thanks ever so much for your help. I have been having problems finding one who would take dogs. They dont seem to allow any other than guide dogs so this became a real challenge. Anyway, maybe this is the answer! Thanks again. And also thanks to all the others who have been so helpful. I will try all the numbers given and will update you should we have some success with the coach business!
Thanks folks
