Well, it's beautiful that that is how this man likes to remember his dog, not quite sure that I can associate the complete and utter ache in your heart at losing a dog, to its tail wagging madly in there, but it may well comfort some, and if that thought comforts him, that is good.

He's so right though a dog will try to go out and walk on their last legs, and try to please with their last breathe, they are our best and unconditional friends and they live on forever in our hearts and memories, (just can't get my head around the wagging tail and heartache bit) but the rest is lovely...... and the thought of how anyone loves and remembers their dog brings me to tears.........

Just saw that earlier today for the first time on another pet board.  It's a nice idea and one I think might be good to tell children.

Hmmm, what about cat's tails?  :)

Perhaps they're just kicking you in their sleep, if you're not sure about the waggy tail! :-p
