Around my house is a fairly substantial area of brick paving. It has been laid properly but the weeds coming up through the joints are driving me mad! Reluctantly I've used weedkillers and rotated the brands, I've jet washed it to an inch of its life, used a mini flame thrower but still the ruddy weeds appear. Is nothing strong enough OTC these days? If I use a professional gardener are they able to access stronger stuff?

I have 2 rows of slabs in my front garden and have battled with weeds for yrs, then I hired a chappie to cut the lawns every 2 weeks (I hate mowing the lawns) and he told me the best thing to use is common cooking salt. It has taken a while but the weeds are slowly giving in. I still get them but nowhere near as many and salt is cheap lol. I snip a corner off the bag and pour it liberally into the cracks. The weeds hate it!

I as a professional, in my old job told customers to buy tescos value salt for 50 p and put it on the stumps we had just cut down to kill them. It does work :)
