can any one tell me if you can/have claimed 3 points at a champ show with CC's under the win of Best Puppy Dog (not BPIB) where there were 2 in MPD and 2in PD? Obviously no points in the actual class as only 2 dogs present but then in the challenge for BPD you win, so in theory beating 3 other dogs.
we don't get big numbers and wish they had just done PD class, easy to understand then!

point 5 of the claim form says 'points cannot be claimed from classes or awards with less than 3 dogs of the breed present' is BPD not an award??

I have been in this position, I won the CC but no points it's the number in the class.

If you got Best Puppy in breed and there were three in the class of the dog you beat for it, then you get points (that was a newish change).

gosh yours seem more unfair as you actually got the CC which means there must have been a few in the challenge that you beat! your in a class thats for an award surely.

challenges are not classes.

I wish they were, then my boy would have got his, we only missed by 3 points (many years ago but I still regret it lol) but he got loads of BOB which would have made the difference!

It is a sort of class in my opinion as you going for an award of BPD/B or CC and therefor if you win you have beaten the rest in the line up. shame the KC don't include this as with small numbers in some breeds its really hard to get your points especially if some shows put a lot of classes on that means less in each class.

but it's not a class you enter, it's an award, after the classes have been judged.

which goes back to point 5 on the claim form which I put on first post, where it says points cannot be claimed in a class or award where there is less than 3 dogs.

I am probably reading it all wrong as would like to claim the 3 points!! never mind, the KC said no too :-(

BOB gets ShCM points which he did gain, but not JW points. :-(
