Any suggestions what I can put on wrought iron gates to make them small dog/ puppy proof and stop all the dogs seeing through them without ruining the look of them? thanks

Is this a permanent or temporary arrangement. I wrapped chicken wire around our metal gates whilst my pup was small which wasn't too unsightly from a distance, not needed now, hulking great thing that she is.

Bamboo screening?

It would be a permanent fixture. The gates are opened and closed frequently and the dogs do go right up to them so I dont think bamboo screeming would be strong enough. Chicken wire would stop puppies and small dogs but is see through. Thanks for the thoughts though.

A friend has wrought iron gate and used a local firm to make a leaf pattern to cover the bottom half of the gate this stopped her small breeds seeing through and is very attractive.

I have also seen varnished/painted wood cut to the shape and size of the gate and attached. It looked fine but the acrylic would be better for maintainence
