Anyone at Bath today can update on condition of car park, is it very muddy now?  Showground?

Apparently the entrance is a mud bath and there are large puddles round the rings. Not sure I shall bother now as we have no CC's anyway.

just back and i can confirm that the carpark is horrendous and a few were getting stuck. that was 2.15 so not sure what it will be like by the end of the day. it had been raining continuously up until around 1.30 but no ordinary rain ........ torrential rain.
the entrance to walk into the ground was muddy when we went in but coming out was just like thick thick sloshy mud, no straw or bark put down, very bad state and wells required.
the actual show ground was ok ish and they have all the plastic paths put down but these were wet and muddy. around the toilets and eating places were also bad. the rings weren't too bad esp in tent 1 anyway.
good luck for those going tomorrow but dont suppose it will be much different esp if more rain comes. if you do go try not to take a white dog with lovely white feathering!!!

Friend has been there and had to get towed out.

It is due to be sunny all day tomorrow & that should dry it up a bit, especially if there is a little bit of a breeze.
I am keeping an eye on this thread, as I am due to go on Monday.

Can't help you but just know the Devon Show, Exeter had to cancel the final day (yesterday) because of the state of the carpark.   Health and Safety!!!    I can't imagine Bath being any better, even if it's on high ground so should drain? Been to some doozies of show grounds in my showing days - not fun with a Basset to get into the ring in half-clean shape.   And not being able to carry them to the ring!!!

After staying up most of the night getting dogs looking their best, being stuck in traffic going through Birmingham and then again on the M5, plus torrential rain for the 5 hours it took us to drive down, I decided that the only sane thing to do was to swerve Bath, go for lunch with my son and let the dogs have a play in the late afternoon sunshine at Westonbirt...best decision ever :-)

Well I nearly did not go but today although the car park and walk to the gates was very bad, the showground was in excellent condition considering. Got in and out without the need to be pushed/towed. Had to wash the girlies feet once on the ground..but it was worth it with Vino taking best bitch and her daughter Rioja res best bitch ! I am stunned...
