Our little cocker has been on a raw diet for 3 weeks now.  She was weighed at her last booster visit and she was about one and a half kilos overweight, which really concerned me, I didn't even notice as she is such an active little dog and didn't seem visibly overweight :( so looked into changing her diet. With the issue we have had with anal glands, after research we decided to look into raw feeding.

We changed to raw feeding about 3 weeks ago and apart from her poos being normal and her skin/coat and eyes seemingly brighter she has lost half a kilo!   So pleased. (I have a separate issue with her ear that I have posted under general but hoping nothing to do with the diet)

She is looking fabulous. I know not all agree with raw but it's working for us in so many ways already.  :)

Fantastic! I moved mine onto raw just over a year ago and they have thrived on it. A friend recently changed her FCR over to raw who had often suffered with a 'dodgy' stomach - 3 months later and he hasn't had a single upset tum.

Raw feeding has always worked for us, we have been raw feeding for around 16 years. I know that its not for everyone and I don't agree with those on FB and other types of media ramming it down peoples throats as we must all do what is within our capability and belief but I certainly would never feed a commercial diet again. This way, I know what I am putting into my dogs and my vet is in agreement with me. His big problem with raw feeding is with those who don't research it properly but then there are now "complete" raw diets available so no excuse for poor ratios on feeding.

Pleased to read that its working well for you :-)

Always worked for us too, ever since having a dog with EPI, it was the only food she thrived on. Since then all dogs here enjoy a raw diet and all pups are weaned on it too :)
I don't preach about feeding raw, but have been known to screw my nose up when my neighbour throws dry food into her dogs' bowl and he does so enjoy the raw 'treats' I bring him  ;)
