anyone know what the grass rings are like? if we are in those sheds think i will give it a miss

Ooh best pack extra towels and the dry shampoo. Hate showing white fluffy footed dogs when the ground is like that! :-(

Was there yesterday, the ground is terrible, the wet weather rings are slippy and the rings are crowded, in incident between a Malamute and another dog happened with the SH owner being bitten .  To many dogs squeezed in around the rings....

The ground just didn't seem to be draining yesterday, it's just too full of water.

I got off the car park yesterday with no problem, but I'd be worried about Sunday if it keeps raining.

so doesn't sound good for tomorrow then, glad im not entered but taking my firend with her lhasa

Was there yesterday and it was squelchy under foot, the car park has lots of churned up ground (brown car park) The halls are just packed, it was bitterly cold. My husband is stewarding all 3 days and tomorrow will have to get caravan off to come home, hope he's booked the JCB already :(

It's such a shame as WELKS in good weather is glorious.
 

is there much space around the benches?

Any updates from anyone who has been today? I was hoping that the sunny spells and wind might have dried it off a bit.

This is why I never bother entering WELKs. The weather was similar on gundog day in 2012 and I haven't entered since. I wouldn't go back if the weather is like this and the weather is too variable this time of year to risk wasting money on the entry.

Most of the rings seemed to be inside today - it was actually gorgeous and sunny nearly all day (apart from a brief cloudburst!) but the ground would have been very boggy to actually show dogs on!

We showed outside today right up to open bitch. Ground was wet and muddy in places as you would expect after so much rain but TBH didn't think it was too bad.
