Wondered what people were weaning their puppies on. Mine is a medium sized breed and want to do the best for them. Three years ago I used Pedigree puppy porridge as was advised by an experienced breeder, they don't make that anymore.

Any ideas, recipes, advice gratefully accepted.

Nature diet for me, warmed up in microwave and a bit of warm water to it if necessary. Works a treat.  Wainwrights trays from PAH are similar. Starting adding a soaked complete once they are eating well.

Raw minced beef of good quality to start, get them eating well..then this can be mixed with very well soaked  kibble ..if you intend to go down that route..
Or introduce a pre prepared meaty product in with the mince like Nutriment puppy food...gradually changing to diet of choice.

I wean mine onto Arden Grange weaning food.
Works for us.

Sorry should have added, a sloppy porridge mix at first.

I use Natural Instinct weaning paste or good quality beef mince. Have also used Royal Canin Starter mixed to a porridge but found it much easier using the meat.

I weaned my litter onto a raw diet.  Started with minces and then introduced bashed up carcasses.
