Just to add more clarity to the 'dangerous' part of the 'dangerous dogs' thing.
The 'word' dangerous is not necesarily anything to do with biteing, threatening or any of those things, although they are included, 'dangerous' is anything which might be construed as dangerous to someone or the public at large, eg, an offlead dog wandering around in any public place can cause accidents of any kind eg's tripping some one up, causeing a cyclyst to swerve & hit a pedestrian or anything realy, that kind of law has existed since the 19th century, it's a 'catch all' thing.
