Sorry for starting a new post, I have looked but I can't see the topic anymore! We got 3rd in GC Bitch yesterday (woo hoo!) which one of my friends thought would qualify us for next year. I am pretty sure that 1st place in every class does, but I'm not convinced that 3rd in Good Citizen would though it would be fab if I was wrong! I know there was a topic on it but I can't find it!
It's been a while (lol) but qual. (apart from the Stud Book number/Champion which gives you a perm.qualification) depends on the average class numbers in the breed (at Champ.shows during the previous season as well as at this year's Crufts) - in some it's just 1st and 2nd whereas with others 3rd also qualifies. I'm not sure about the GC classes. Check on the Crufts website.
GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME -- For dogs which have achieved their Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze Award Certifcate or above. Certifcates should be available at the Show for inspection, if requested. N.B. DOGS ENTERED IN THIS CLASS MUST ALSO QUALIFY FOR ENTRY IN THE USUAL WAY
The answer is in the Crufts schedule. All the usual qualifying classes are 1st, 2nd or 3rd, but GC does not qualify at any other show than at Crufts itself, and then only first as anything not a usual qualifying class will qualify AT Crufts but only if the award is a first.
No I didn't think it would. Not to worry, I wasn't particularly planning to try and qualify her this year (although this placing might make me try a few closer shows!), just would have been fun if it turned out she was qualified again!
