Topic Dog Boards / Showing / White shampoo???

Ok, stupid question ;) My black and white (and mud) coloured dog needs a bath before Crufts...my friend is washing him and has bought whitening shampoo. Is this ok to use on his black bits as well??

It should be. We use MD10 textured white on our dogs as we have one who is cream and one white and gold. We also use it on our dark brown girl and our brown and white. Brings them up lovely too and really shows the contrast between the brown and white. :)

Thank you for your reply :) Its animology whitewash shampoo she has bought...checked out their website and all it says is suitable for all types of white hair! Hopefully it will be ok then :)

I have spoken to animology reps before (we sell it at work) and they say the whitening shampoo doesnt have any actual whitening effects, it simply illuminates, so is suitable for all colours, and apparently is good for black and red coats :)

I use the relevant shampoo for the main colour.   My current lad has more white than black or tan so I have a white-out shampoo for him.   Works fine.
